Line Story
Millions
of years ago, there were husband and wife couples of plant-eating dinos who
were around icebergs and long and sometimes fast-flowing rivers. Their daily
activities are farming to provide food preparation when winter arrives. One day
the female lays eggs, she produces 3 eggs, 2 small eggs and 1 big egg.
One by one the
eggs hatched to produce cute dino babies. When they are big they are taught
farming life by having their respective duties. Little Arlo has limitations in
his body, he is the smallest of all. And he also often has an excessive sense
of fear. His father also taught him to be more brave again, eventually his
father took him to the river during heavy rain and strong winds to teach Arlo
to fear it can disappear. But the suddenly furious water from the river
overflowed quickly and the very swift currents that made him lose his father at
the time.
One day when
Arlo was at work, bringing corn to his chickens. He was chased by the chickens
so as to make him run to scare until falling on the edge of the cliff and
bounced into the river. Arlo who did not know how to swim finally carried a
very far stream that made him unable to find his way home. The condition
requires him to be able to walk on his own without the help of others. On his
way to find his home again, Arlo got a friend named Spot a very brave little
tarzan and very different from the cowardly Arlo. Spot also has the same goal
with Arlo that is looking for family and return to their home.
Spot was often
helping Arlo on their way to find a home. Arlo learned a lot from Spot. Arlo
began to take courage in doing the things that made her afraid. Arlo began to
become a brave dino. Along their journey there are many things that make it
understand that "fear is not to be avoided, but to be faced". Finally
Arlo became brave. As they along the river they meet the buffalo shepherd, who
happens to be in the direction of Arlo. Along the way suddenly Spot feels that
there is a shade like his father. It was true that the shadow was his father's.
Finally Spot met his family and had to part with Arlo. Arlo went on his way
home. Finally after a very long journey, Arlo can find his house, met with his
mother and two older siblings.
Now Arlo lives
as a brave dino rather than a coward anymore.
Review
Basically "The Good
Dinosaur" has a very interesting premise. Using an alternate timeline in
the form of a meteor failure destroys the dinosaurs, there is a question of
what will happen when they are not extinct. Unfortunately, despite the
tantalizing premise, there is no meaningful story development. Naturally when
finally "The Good Dinosaur" has a regular story with the theme of
identity search. The reality is that there are many such paths that we see in
both live-action and animation.
"The Good Dinosaur" tells the story of
a dinosaur family of apatosaurs. In this film they are bright green. This
species belongs to the family of sauropods; Where they have a characteristic
long neck, large bodies, and herbivores. Other types in similar families you
can see in brontosaurus, brachiosaurus, diplodocus, and many others. Actually I
am a lover of the fauna world; One of them dinosaurs. From childhood, I often
watch documentary TV shows about the lives of these prehistoric animals. Amazed
me at that time. The admiration is still there today. Not a few also finally I
know some types of dinosaurs.
This film has a message that is so deep but easy
to accept for the audience, especially children who love the animated film.
This film teaches us to be able to face the fear itself, for fear can only be
defeated by the taste itself. The message is very simple but has a high value
and classy. Animated films produced by pixar is always a favorite movie, with a
simple story but full of deep meaning. So pixar loyal fans can not turn to other
animated films.
The image of this animation is very clean and
looks like the original is not animation, animated movie treats like this is
worth to watch. Its soundtrack is also very light and easy to sung. The
soundtrack composed by Mychael Danna & Jeff Danna greatly adds to the
impression in this movie so that the watch really dissolves in the spectacle of
this movie. In terms of animated cinema, this is one of the movies that I like
because it is easy to understand the plot of the story. The setting of the
place is also very natural and close to nature so that the audience can feel
the natural beauty of the film. In addition, the film also strongly reflects a
simple life but very familial. What a wonderful film.
For the readers of this paper, I recommend this
movie for you to watch, and be able to receive the message that this film
delivered.
